You customize your kit based on your preferences & budget. I provide you with my signature cutting guide that maximizes your paper usage.
I am always starting NEW Kit of the Month Hostess Clubs. I want to personally invite you to join us. Many of you are interested in scrapbooking and I would love to show you how Close To My Heart products can help you scrapbook faster, simpler and easier. Even those of you who live out-of-state or out of my local area can participate in a group. There's so much to cover...I'm going to try and give you all the details here. What is the Kit of the Month?
Every month, I pick one (sometimes two) of CTMH's paper packs featured in the current Idea Book. I use these to create four to six scrapbook pages. I also create my signature cutting guide that helps you maximize your paper usage. YOU customize your kit to suit your needs, preferences and budget. You can order a Kit of the Month at any time - you can choose from the current one being featured, or ask about any previous paper packs.
What are the Benefits of Joining the Kit of the Month Hostess Club?
You will receive a minimum of $50 in FREE Products just for joining when it's your turn to be the hostess! Here's what you will receive:
What is the Kit of the Month Club Commitment?
What do I purchase?
Your minimum purchase will consist of the kits and accessories you will need to recreate the 4 themed pages (more often than not, we'll do six pages). I create "shopping list" of materials for you...it's entirely up to you if you want to go with the pre-planned shopping list I put together for you or if you want to select products on your own.
Your cost provides you with 100% products and NO class fees!
- I provide you with my signature cutting guide so you create at your own pace!
- These pages are created with tools and techniques so you learn as you go/grow.
- Many of these designs come from the NEW patterns created by Jeanette Lynton (CTMH's founder & CEO) and also our how-to books: Cherish, Reflections and Imagine.
What else do I need?
You are required to bring your own basics:
Paper Trimmer
Adhesive (I carry Tombow refills for sale at the workshop)
Scissors
Glue Dots
Any other tools you like to use when paper crafting
Photos (optional) - you'll know what the paper pack is that we're using and you'll be able to see the samples on my website so you'll be able to bring photos to work with.
If you bring drinks, they must be in enclosed bottles (no open cups)...paper and liquids don't mix, unless that's our technique :-)
What day do I come?
You come on the day that works for your schedule. If you are in a group that has formed together, then as a group you may decide that your club meets on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 7:00pm. If that's the case, then you will most likely come with your friends that night. Now, we all know that life happens and there may be a month you can't make it on the 2nd Wednesday. As such, just look at my calendar > www.HelenO.myCTMH.com > Training & Events and see when there is another scrapbook club workshop and join me then. All I ask is that you give me a call and let me know so I make sure there's space available.
How long is one of the Kit of the Month Workshops?
That's entirely up to you! Some people can fly through putting the layouts together, while others like to hang out. The workshop typically lasts between 2 and 3 hours.
What if I don't finish my layouts?
You can either finish them at home, or come to another scheduled scrapbook workshop and complete them there.
Will I be able to get the Stamp of the Month at a Discount or Free?
Yes! Your minimum monthly purchase of $30 (plus shipping and tax) will also qualify you to purchase the Stamp of the Month at a 25% discount. You may even earn the Stamp of the Month at 50% off, 75% off or even get it FREE during the month you are not the hostess!
What do I get for getting a Friend to join the Club?
Ah...here's where the extra incentives come in.
If you recruit a friend to join the club with you (your buddy), then you will receive any "A-size" stamp set or any Level 1 Scrapbook Kit in the current Idea Book FREE (a $10.95* value)!
If you recruit two friends, you will receive any "D-size" stamp set or any Level 2 paper package and a package of My Stickease (stickers) FREE ($22.95* value)!
What if I want to come, try it out, and see what a Scrapbook Hostess Club Workshop is like?
Either call me at 908-910-9246 or email me at helen@hookedonstamping.com and let me know which Scrapbook Club day/time you want to join us. This way, I'll make sure to have the scrapbook workshop on hand for you. Cost: $30 (plus shipping & tax).
Can I bring a Friend to the Scrapbook Hostess Club Workshop?
Yes! Friends are always welcome! They can come and observe, or come to do the workshop - they just pay the workshop fee ($30 plus shipping and tax). If your friend would like to do the workshop just let me know in advance so I can have the scrapbook workshop kit on hand and they can be attending as a Club Curious Guest.
What if I don't have a group of 5 and I'd like to join the Club?
Jump right in! I'll add you to a group that's forming.
What if we have a GROUP of Friends and we all want to stay together?
My craft room can accommodate up to 12 people at one time (that allows adequate space for everyone to work comfortably).
The idea of a Hostess Club is that each person is guaranteed to have a qualifying Close To My Heart party for earning Hostess Rewards. With 5 people spending $30 (plus shipping & tax) this is a $150 Close To My Heart show. Now...what if you have 8 people? If everyone is willing to spend $31.25 (plus shipping & tax) then that would be a $250 Close To My Heart show and the Hostess would earn $40 in Hostess Rewards (plus all other benefits as stated earlier). Or...if everyone wants to spend $18.75 (plus shipping and tax) then this would be a $150 Close To My Heart show and the Hostess would earn $25 in Hostess Rewards plus all the other benefits as stated earlier.
Can I switch a month from doing the Scrapbook Workshop to doing the Technique Workshop?
Yes - as long as I know at the time you are placing your order as the shopping lists for the different clubs may vary.
What types of Clubs are there?
Scrapbook Club - each month we will create a minimum of 4 themed scrapbook pages complete with embellishments. You receive the cutting diagrams and instructions.
Technique Club - each month we will create a 6" x 6" mini technique sheet. Over time, you will formulate a complete technique book. The technique sheet will contain the instructions for doing the technique as well as a sample of the technique. Then...we'll use that technique to create a proejct (scrapbook page, greeting cards or something else entirely).
Greeting Card Club - each month we will create a minimum of 5 different greeting card designs using the current Stamp of the Month or another stamp set.
Is there anything else I need to know?
All orders are due to me by the 8th of each month. If I do not hear from you that you want to place a separate order, I will automatically order the Scrapbook Kit of the Month for you.
Hostesses are picked at random.
When it is your month to be the Hostess, I can help you increase your Hostess Rewards - just ask me how.
I will design all the club projects using products featured in the Current Close To My Heart Idea Book.
What if I wouldn't use the papers selected?
You can always pick a different paper pack to use and still utilize the cutting diagrams to make the same layouts. I can help you with choosing which papers to use where. Or...you have the option to just make your $30 (plus shipping & tax) order up yourself.
